Gardens in Bloom 2025 Garden Tour

The New Canaan Garden Club (NCGC) is excited to announce the date for its highly anticipated Gardens in Bloom Garden Tour, set for Thursday, June 5, 2025. This exclusive, self-guided tour will offer an extraordinary opportunity to explore some of New Canaan’s most breathtaking private gardens that are otherwise not open to the public. From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, rain or shine, garden enthusiasts will have the rare chance to experience these meticulously curated spaces that span a variety of horticultural styles, sizes, and designs.

This year’s tour promises to offer an inspiring and educational day, showcasing a range of stunning gardens – each with its own unique aesthetic. From lush, formal gardens to thoughtfully designed “gardener’s gardens” and sustainable landscapes featuring native plantings, attendees will be captivated by the creativity and passion behind every garden. Knowledgeable NCGC members will be on hand at each garden to share insights, answer questions, and offer advice that visitors can take home to enhance their own outdoor spaces.

In addition to the private gardens, the tour will feature some of the New Canaan Garden Club’s ongoing civic initiatives, including the beloved gardens at Irwin Park — a key part of the NCGC’s mission. The New Canaan Garden Club has been a steward of the park since its purchase by the town from the Irwin family in 2005.  It has been lovingly cared for by the Garden Club with the help of an endowment from the family. Over the years, the NCGC has planted more than 50,000 daffodils and contributed to significant improvements, including the building of the park’s gazebo, the purchase of Wave Hill chairs and benches, and the installation of Flexi-pave paths.

Proceeds from the Gardens in Bloom Garden Tour will go to support NCGC’s civic projects including improvements to Irwin Park, ensuring the park’s continued beautification and ecological health. Donations will help fund the removal of invasive species and the planting of native plants, as well as ongoing maintenance and educational efforts. Your participation will contribute to the preservation of this beautiful community space and help sustain the NCGC’s civic programs, which include horticulture therapy at Waveny Care Center, the gardens at the New Canaan Museum and Historical Society, and much more.

When we go live, tickets for the Gardens in Bloom Garden Tour will be available for purchase at the website. Details to follow.
